That’s the way he looked before he noticed my camera pointed at him, in the image above, a frozen scowl on his face – I was actually hoping he would look straight into the camera as I loved how his face was tempered with age & experience. When doing street photography, I smile a lot and the expression, I want to have on my face if ever someone takes my picture is a smile – I get ask a often if people get angry at me or yell at me for taking their pictures… no, I don’t get asked often, a couple of times a year and my best weapon is my smile, a smile is incredibly disarming. A smile plus never looking at your subject on the eyes before or after you capture them and you’ll never have an issue, don’t make eye contact. In the couple of days these images were made, I captured at the very least 300 different persons – no one said anything to me.
